Things worked well for Rivers united after the domination of possession.th ey took the lead through former enyimba midfielder Ishak Kayode who connected with Micheal Ohawume to unleash a fierce shot that beat Al masry shot stopper.
Ten minutes later,Al masry level things up through a corner which was easily noded home by unmarked Abdutfatai Budise.
The second half brought no magic not until the 65th minutes when substitute Onwuansanya connected with a one two give and take pass to slot home the decisive goal to give Rivers united the lead.
Al masry put in more efforts to level the score line but they couldn’t beat the wall set up defensively by the Rivers cohesive defence.
